Submitted by mom, Misty:
I’m lighting my home in honor of my daughter Macie who recently completed 2.5 tough years of aggressive chemotherapy for Very High-Risk Pre B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia that she was diagnosed with at age 9. She is now 12 and in remission. We will make it our mission to fight for pediatric cancer research funding and cures!

Mudhouse Coffee Roasters started out wanting to make a difference. The owners first began with a little cart on the downtown mall and at our beautiful city farmers market, and now here we are, 25+ years later, in the middle of a dream, roasting coffee together for people and a community that we love. We are lighting up for Macie Sprouse, a 13-year-old in our community who was diagnosed with Very High Risk Pre B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia w/o CNS involvement. She battled to reach remission and throughout the 2 ½ years of chemotherapy treatment. In just 2 ½ Macie has been through things that most couldn't fathom. Over 70 clinical visits, 5 bone marrow biopsies, 17 lumbar punctures with intrathecal chemo, 14 blood transfusions, 10 platelet transfusions, 6 ER visits, 3 ambulance rides, and 14 different chemo radiations. This is just one child of the more than 15,000 children that are diagnosed with childhood cancer each year. Mudhouse Coffee Roasters is honored to be able to help shed light for children's cancer. Each night all three locations will turn our stores gold.
