When I was 10 years old, I was diagnosed with pre-B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. During my treatment, I faced severe complications, including a coma, stroke, and extensive therapies to relearn basic skills. I underwent 15 types of chemotherapy and numerous medical procedures.
At age 13, I relapsed and required additional chemotherapy and radiation therapy. By age 15, I was declared cancer-free, but I faced long-term health effects such as vision issues, dental problems, neurological impairments, and later, a diagnosis of epilepsy. These experiences led me to create BeholdBeGold, a movement dedicated to raising awareness about the long-term effects of childhood cancer and supporting survivors. Despite these challenges, I remain resilient and dedicated to achieving my life goals.
"Because I lived through this experience, I am a passionate advocate who cares deeply about the Glow Gold campaign, supporting patients and their families."
BeholdBeGold provides a platform for survivors to share their stories and educate others about the lasting impacts of childhood cancer. Because I lived through this experience, I am a passionate advocate who cares deeply about the Glow Gold campaign, supporting patients and their families. Childhood cancer awareness is crucial!
