age 28 | 2x Childhood cancer survivor (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
I am a two-time Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia childhood cancer survivor! I was diagnosed at the age of 10 in 2003 and relapsed at the age of 13 in 2006. It was a devastating battle that came with a coma, a stroke, a 5-year inpatient and outpatient hospitalization experience, and several cognitive impairments including current late effect seizures.
I light up for me, my angel friends, the families and caregivers impacted by this life-changing and traumatic childhood disease, and survivors like myself, who after being done with treatment, still face many life and health-related challenges. Virginia can do better than 0%!!! I encourage everyone to light up and #gogoldva this September!!
