Our precious grandson, Declan Zalewski, was diagnosed with Leukemia on November 23. He is 5. He had off and on fevers for a few months but no bruising. We got him to the doctor the day he said he was too tired to play. He ended up at Carilion from Christiansburg within a few hours. Treatment started immediately. We are so thankful for the Carilion doctors and nurses. He is in maintenance now but still has bad days. He will live We cannot tell you how thankful we are for those that came before us and helped discover a protocol for our grandson. My heart goes out to the families that have lost their little ones to this disease.
